·Program Name: Extended Immunization Program
·Implementer of the program: Upazila Health Officer and all health workers under him.
·Funding and other contributors: Ministry of Health and Health, World Health Organization.
Goals and Methods: Immunization of children against 08 diseases and prevention of night blindness and malnutrition through Vitamin A capsules. Prevention of tetanus in mothers and newborns through the KTT vaccine. Vitamin A deficiency in mothers and newborns is supplemented by feeding vitamin A capsules to mothers. The main goal is to reduce child suffering and mortality.
Beneficiary population: All women aged 15-49 years and all children aged 0-60 months.
